91 Explorer 4x4 Problems
Due to money problems I had to get rid of my 96 Mustang and picked up a 91 Explore 4x4 in the deal. I noticed when I got it that the 4wd wouldnt engage but I figured I could fix it....WRONG! When the light on the switch didnt light up I assumed it was the switch itself but its not. I got it to engage one time. I checked the continuity on the switch and the voltage in the harrness and it checked out. I realized that I could hear a "clicking" noise whenever I pressed the switch so I think it is a solenoid or something to that effect. I checked to see if I could find it, but had no luck. Could someone please shed a little light on this. I have no experience with the Explorers and hate to mess something up worse than it is. Thnx

Thank You for the reply! I will get on it first thing Saturday morning and will definetly post the results. Looks like the cause of the problem just by reading the link you sent me. Hopefully it works.
