4WD Power??

4WD Power??
I have a 91 Explorer 4wd. I have been trying to sort out the 4wd mechanism..it used to work, but now, when I push any of the on-dash buttons, no lights illuminate and nothing happens. I can't locate the fuse for it (if there is one, and don't want yet to remove the panel to check the power to the switches...would like few options to check first...any suggestions?
