Smokin' Joe

I was taking off from a stop with my 2003 and have noticed that if I really put my foot in it, that the truck throws a large cloud of black smoke. I am running the 1705 tuner but never noticed this on my 1996. I have also put some fuel treatment in suspecting my injectors need cleaning but it did not seem to help.

Black smoke is from incomplete combustion. SCMT is telling the PCM to throw more fuel than the engine can completely burn. Its fun to blow smoke on command, but not good for mpg's.
