Difference between 2wd headers and 4wd headers?

Right now i am 2wd no power steering 68: F250 and i want to buy a new set of headers. My problem is, later on i might possibly convert to 4wd as well as power steering. What is the interferance when using a 2wd headers on a 4wd truck? thanks -Phill

Usually, 2wd headers are longer and go lower than 4x4 headers, so they interfere with the transfer case and the driveshaft.

The difference between the 2wd and 4wd on your truck is the location of the steering components and steering box (basically behind the axle on a 2wd and in front of the axle on a 4wd). Just get the headers that please you since it is quite the project to switch from 2wd to 4wd, you are not using them over, and unless you have a complete donor (which includes the rear sump pan )it is just easier and cheaper to buy another truck (if you can find the 4x4).
