Worked 7:15 to 4:30....come home, mow and weedeat, clean the porch for The Boss, then work on a couple computers. Not a bad day except it's hot and sticky out, and I always somehow end up mowing and weedeating at 5:00 in the afternoon.

I took a load of roots and cut-up stumps to a buddies place (he has a burn pile ), picked up my grill from the painters and spent the rest of the day splitting firewood.

Today was good... I'm really excited about an interview at Coke for a new job, so I was in a pretty good mood today at work. (does that sound weird?)

Thats about it... my work schedule pretty much decides that I won't be doing anything else for the day. I work from 11a-8p...it sucks...

I don't know what it is, but since I wrote about my day Saturday on this thread, things have gone nuts at work! Saturday night I went to bed...got called out at 2:30 Sunday morning for a foaling mare. The delivery went alright but the mare needed lots and lots of drugs before she'd clean, and the foal spent the first four hours of his life pretty convinced that he should try to nurse the wall instead of his mother, so I finished that up in time to go to work, palpate mares, breed, etc...collapse for a few hours of sleep in the middle of the day...then went to visit some friends. Got back home in time to discover the joys of living where I work...we had a mare come in for colic surgery. Started at 10:30, finished at 4:00 Monday morning, which wasn't bad considering a usual colic surgery is staffed by about 7 people and we had 3. The mare died anyway...she was too far gone before we started, so now we're trying to raise her 2-month-old foal. Today was sort of normal except that I had to go help move bulls after work and we didn't finish until 9:00 tonight. That was fun work, though, so I can't complain too much. Maybe the bad streak is broken now that I've bored y'all with this long rambling post and made everyone quit reading!

Well, on Thursday I went to work. My back is still bothering me so I only stayed for about 3 hours then I went home.

On Friday my wife took the day off of work with me and we went to London (Canada) for the day. I rented a car because my 85 F150 doesn't have air conidtioning. I wanted a Ford but all I could get was a Toyota Matrix. Not a bad little car. We stayed overnight in the Hilton and shopped on Saturday.

We also went to the movies and saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Pretty good movie. Laughed a bunch of times too. Two thumbs up.

Oh ya, we went to the Casino and I won us some money! Now I am not a big gambler and will only use money that is "leftover" money (meaning I will pay all my bills first). So I took $100 in and won $150. I was getting ready to leave and thought I would play one more dollar machine. I ended up winning $1500 there too! It was NICE! So I won $1650 but lost about 100. Not too shabby!

Came home and unpacked. Wife made some supper and the mother-in-law came over. After supper they chatted and did their thing while I surfed FTE and played some PS2. After she left the wife and I went grocery and clothes shopping then came home to bed.

Now, today is Sunday and I am going to go to church with my wife. Then she is going for a walk with her mom and I am going to come home and relax. Later on we are going out for supper with my brother and his wife.

I am taking Monday and Tuesday off of work and go from there. I will see how my back is.

-Matt
