Since its 12:53am (Sunday) I will be getting up at 8 for church and then at 1:30 gotta be back home to get ready for a funeral.

But yesterday (which I just got home from) I worked all day scrapping floors on Granville Island, a touristy type place in Vancouver.

Dont know why this thread is so popular either, but I did feel the need to share ... no feelings though.

Since this is yesterdays thread; I put a new stereo in the girlfriends car, dropped my daughter off with my mom, came home and took a nap, then met with Peggy Payne and some of the Kansas chapter members to have a meeting at the Woodlands for the rally, the we all went to Cracker Barrell for our monthly get together. Had some of the guys come by and bs and hit the sack at about 2:15 am.

Today, I'm being lazy.

Got up at 6:40AM, went to Bedford (about 30 minutes away) to do some landscaping. Worked until 2PM digging up 15 Holly and Lylac (sp) shrubs that were 30 years old with nothing but a shovel (and I broke that). Im about 3/4 the way done there, but I was to receive a gift after the job was done.

I have a hunch that the gift is a mid-90's Corvette. The guy Im working for told me that "I have a gift for you once the job is done. If you like it, you can keep it. But if you dont like it, you can sell it if you wish." And just before I was getting ready to leave, he was pumping up the tires on the 'Vette (which has been sitting for 2 years...the date on the tags said '03).

My High School graduation is coming up on Friday the 10th...so that might be part of the reason for the gift too!

Anyways...I got back home at about 2:45PM and went out riding the fourwheeler. Mowed the lawn, went out riding again, went to a friends house for a little bit, waited for my family and grandparents to come in from upstate NY, then passed out @ 10:30PM

got up at 7 am. Went to pick up my truck. (just bought 1979 f 100) Got my 30 day tag, waited in line for an hour. Came home and stared at truck for an hour. Washed the truck and looked it over, completely. Cruised Jegs and Summit Racing online for a couple hours.

Then I mowed our 2 and a half acre yard! yuck! Weed wacked etc! Then went to bed with the wife!

slept till 11. got up and read the paper with my coffee. then drove to get gas for my escort and warm up the engine for an oil change

changed the oil. also the fuel filter and put on my new coil pack. drove it around some more. went to play games on the computer till my girlfriend's kid told me some teenagers had kicked my sister's car parked out front. went driving around looking for them to see how they like getting their asses kicked. will be looking out for a punk with blue dyed hair.

yesterday was better. got up early went for a picnic with my girlfriend and her son. he fished and played in the water while we sat in the shade with a cold beer. sent him to fetch a towel so we could smoke some grass. threw the ball in the water for the dog to fetch. cooked chicken over the charcoal BBQ. met a nice couple with another dog. was about to invite them to hang out with us and have a beer till they started with their Amway pitch

I actualy did alot today I didnt realize it.

June 5

Woke up and cleaned the cat boxes. Had some Lucky Charms and got ready for church with my wife. After church went to Taco Bell for lunch. Went home and watched 'Fargo' and played some PS2.

Wife came home and we went to buy a couple air conditioners. One was for me (I need another in my house) and one for my brother. I delivered it to my parents' house and talked for a bit.

Came home and ordered some Pizza Hut. Played a little more PS2 and then went for a walk with my wife.

We came home and started watching 'Meet The ****ers' (third time, saw it twice at the theatre). Now off to bed. G'night!

-Matt

P.S. Surfed FTE in there somewhere for a couple hours.

Woke up at 4 am and went fishing with my fishing buddy; got back and cleaned the fish. Went to another friends house to help him with his transmission on his lawnmower; then he, his wife, and I went to look at a house I'm interested in; then we ate supper at a chinese restaurant; I retired early -- it was a long day.

Well, I have to go back in time to Friday for this one...
Took off of work early and left home in the Ranger about 2:30, fully loaded with the new camper shell (or cap, or topper, or whatever) on it, and drove the hour's drive to Boonville, in Anderson Valley for the Wild Iris Folk Festival. Camped out and jammed till my fingers were ready to fall off, and then kept on playing! Saw some good shows, including Utah Phillips, John Rieschman and the Jaybirds (Bluegrass), Catfish Jack and Maria Vilaboy, among others. You folks from Austin Texas, check them out. Catfish Jack blows one mean harp, and Maria Vilaboy can belt out a tune with the best of them. Jack was telling me today that I should really check out the music scene down there, it's happenin'! I used to know them years ago when they lived up here, but they relocated to Austin and are doing well there.
So anyway, I'm back at home now, tired but happy. And what did you do today? -TD
