Saw the new Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith at the midnight showing last night and I must say "It rocked!".
Not that anyone needs an invitation from me, but I highly recommend this one! I just came from seeing it a few hours ago, but I believe this to be the best one, yet!
I hate when someone hypes up a movie so much that I can ONLY be disappointed when I go and see, so I'll stop here and I don't want to give away any spoilers either.
I will say I understand why this one has the PG-13 since there is much darker violence than any of the other five. I also have yet to think of a question that I had going into this one that wasn't answered!
It does make you realize that Obi-wan was definitely "stretching the truth" in "A New Hope" when he told Luke of how he came to have his' father's lightsaber and how HE wanted him to have it when the time was right...
Thanks for the review RUNVS, I'm gonna go see it tomorrow night. From all accounts the movie sounds really good.
Sounds like you have some bad hours at work, I know how it feels to live there. I've had the past couple days off and kept having to remind myself to answer the phone with "hello" instead of "thank you for calling Home Depot...."
I couldn't help but drive by the theater last night about 8 to see if there were a bunch of nuts there dressed up like Jedis. There was only one, but it wasn't a wasted trip. I had to go over by there anyway.
I thought that ROTS was going to be a bad review too.
Here in Wyoming we only get 4 letters to work with if we want a vanity license plate. My F-150 is licensed as JEDI
I'll be seeing it soon. All kinds of rumors swirling around that it's a thinly veiled political statement (Evil Emperor = George Bush) in USA Today. I mean, come on. This is STAR WARS - Lucas was thinking this stuff up while Dubya was still in the National Guard.
I know Dennis (Mil1ion) sent to it at midnight,he phoned me at 11:00 to come to his small town theatre to see it.
I think he went dressed like Jabba the House
Then he called me at 5:00am to tell me what I missed.
Once I gave him an earful of (waking me up so early) he realized I was a Trek fan not a Star Wars fan.

I wasn't going to see this for a few weeks but was REALLY bored at work and there's a theater down the street. Go figure...
If you liked the original Star Wars, even if you hated 1 & 2 (like I did!) SEE this one. It is dark and violent. There is no stupid Jar Jar kind of humor device, in fact you will rarely laugh watching this. It ties up perfectly between the old and new SW movies. I think the ONLY reason this didn't get a rating of R is simply because most of the violence is aimed toward droids, no blood is shown, etc. Other wise the violence in this movie push it much closer to R
Anyway, see it - on the big screen if you can. Remember this is coming from someone who disliked Ep1, hated Ep2 and was going to wait at least a month to see this.
Likely you'll be waiting for that one to come to DVD before I 'review' it. Just based off the commercials I see a classic story being butchered into another Independance Day type movie.
Good to hear. I was gonna see that one. I mean, it's the final one before they fill the gap and head on to episodes 7-9. Anyway, this made sure I'm seeing it. I saw Darth Vader in the previews. how long is the movie, and how long is the 'crossover' into the older movies' recognizability. sorry if I'm not making sense...
