Sandman,
The dealer WILL no doubt reflash your truck when they have it.
I had the cali flash for a while and with help with a member here i realized its a detuned program to reduce emissions.
I had it re-flashed outside cali with a 49 state flash and it has alot more pep.
I have a CA emissions truck that I bought new I RI. If I have it flashed at my dealer here in RI will I get a flash for a CA truck or for a 49 state truck?
My truck has the emission/obII flash numbered 03e03 I think. I was holding off getting the recall done cause I thought I would be getting the CA flash and have heard bad things about it. I am getting ready to take it in to dealer as now I am getting rough idling when I start up, Its not the usual romps I would get occasionally just some little stumbles for a few seconds. Thanks for any info, take care, John
Well my truck was like yours(49 state) and ended up with a cali flash.
Simply re-flashing outside cali is the way to go .
So yeah, just go to your RI dealer and you should be set.
Try to focus real good on how your truck sounds,pulls,shifts,revs.etc. and i think after its flashed back to 49 state your gonna be grinning.
I would like to know how to get an Oasis on my truck. I checked out the link mentioned above "http://www.6literpowerstroke.flatratetech.com/ " and did not see a place to run the report.
I have been asking for quite sometime if anyone know if there is a newer flash out for an 04 with a May build date but have yet to find an answer.
