Latest Flash ?

Does anyone know what the latest flash number is according to Ford? Trying to figure out if mine is up to date. Last flash on Oasis was 2005 I think.

Thanks

my guess is you are probably are 2 flashes behind. does you truck "buzz" when it shuts down for a few seconds?

The heat induction flash came out in 2007 I heard talk of a 2009 flash that addresses the possible failure of FICM's from the 2007 heat flash.

yep i got the flash in 07 and my FICM failed a few months later. i have a new one now but am thinking if i should pay $100 to ford for the new one or get a basic innovative custom flash for $200 plus shipping. or just keep running what i got, truck runs perfect already has a ton of power and the tunes i have i like a lot.

i would say the same thing to both of you guys. if your truck is running great or good enough stay with what you have. if you have some cold start or injector issues then the newer flashes can help that. a lot of people think that all the newer flashes reduce MPG's and power a little bit and the original flashes had the more aggressive tow-haul mode and got better MPG's. i don't know about that, my trucks a 2005 when i bought it used it had the buzz flash....

I believe that is the first inductive heating strategy, so you should get it redone since that one stresses the FICM too much and can lead to failures.

the buzzing sound is your injectors cycling oil, it was the flash that was on my truck when i bought it. it's not a bad flash but ford has updated to the inductive heating and now IH2 for better cold start and injector issues.
