Coolant temp gauge

I am interested in adding a coolant temp gauge to my pod, but where would the sensor mount and where would an oil temp sensor mount.

You are not going to find suitable access for either temperature sensor on the 6.0L Power Stroke.

Interesting pictures, especially of the failed engine.

Just a thought, but a bung might be able to be welded to a spare freeze plug and installed in the block.

As for an oil temp sensor, your only reasonable location will be the oil pan itself.

Both of these are a good idea; oil temp on these engines can be quite critical and the factory coolant temp gauge is a real joke.

Oil temperature sensor is directly in the top of the oil cooler, coolant temp sensor is mounted on the top of the water/oil pump housing on the front of the motor.

Can one tee off of these for an after market gauge?
