I have a 2000 F-150 Lariat w/ power mirrors. It seems that part of the switch that contrls the mirror has gone out. The mirrors will still move every way but up. I removed the switch and checked to see if all the connections were getting power, it seems they are. I figure that the contacts are dirty and need to be cleaned. I was wonding if anyone here knows how the swich comes apart. I can get it out of the door panel w/ no problems. I searched the forums here but couldn't find anything that would help.

I have the same problem except my mirros won't go to the right. I think its something to do with water getting in it-everytime i clean my windsheild with the side window open the windshelid washer fluid drips right onto all the controls-bad engineering, its the same way in the superduties. I'm not sure how to fix it, but also would like to know so i don't have to add it to the list of things i'm getting fixed at the dealership.
