today i noticed my idle speed has gone up only when its hot, its up at 900rpms.
it cold idles at 850 for a few kicks down to 750. 20 mins later, i get to work and its at 900, what would cause this???????????????/
it runs great no major problems with it i gone 3000 miles since last oil change and hasent consumed a drop, smokes very litte on startup and when i stand on it,
but i have began to wounder if it was the IP going
So far thats the only thing I have really thought of, I'm sure there are others that could give you a better answer. It could also be getting air when it warms up but that usually makes it run a bit louder, idle rough or somthing similar.
Check the glow plugs, and see if any of the injectors are wet around the return line, as well as for any other possible air leaks before sayint the IP is causing the hard starting, then if no other probs are found we can get back to that one.
i just replaced ths glow plugs, the entire fuel system is dry except for that pressure sending unit thing on the fuel filter housing has a little leakage i am jona replace the lift pump tommarow and wile im at it jona check all the injectors, i have notaced the high idle is not dependet on tempature 40 - 70 makes no diffrence
