Hi, I mess around on ebay all the time and have seen them in there. I don.t know what they cost in the books so be careful if you bid on them. Some of the stuff on ebay goes for more than new. Just look under Ford trucks and search 73-79 trucks when you get there. Have a good holiday all. Erv
I just got some from J.C. Whitney last week (along with a new windshield gasket). Price was about the same. NPD and Dennis Carpenter's also list this I believe.
As far as I can tell, they don't have their inventory listed online. You can call 1-800-LMC-TRUCK and order a cataloge.
I had some problems getting the LMC gaskets to work out, not saying that all gaskets will be problematic though. I bought the chrome insert and windshield gasket for my 79 f150 windshield from LMC. Had a pro shop tech install the windshield while the truck was in my garage. The windshield gasket fit fine, but the chrome clad insert trim I bought from LMC was about 20 in. short of being long enough. The installers shop used their own chrome insert, which they cut to fit in one length . All worked out o.k., Then.....
I also had them to install the new rear slider window (JCW unit) while they were doing the windshield. The gasket for the rear window that I bought from LMC was too short , but they couldnt tell that until they had it installed and stretched it out in the rails. Still trying to figure out how to fix that one, short of paying for a re-install and another gasket.

I had always heard to buy the rear window gasket for the specific RSW that you're going to install (from the same supplier of the window). Was this the problem - going through 2 different sources? Or, did you buy a rear window gasket for a fixed rear window? - I also heard they don't work for RSW applications. I'm starting to research these now for my 78'. Guess I'll find out soon.........
I recently purchased a front windshield rubber from LMC for my son's 77 F150. I ordered a new windshield, and had the installer come to my house for the install. He showed me the gasket was too large for the opening and that he would be unable to install the windshield using the LMC gasket. I ordered a gasket from him,(85.00) waited 3 days, and he returned to install it, and he also supplied the narrow chrome insert trim you are describing (25.00). It is a standard item at most windshield installation shops. Looks just like factory....
I, too, recently bought the front windshield rubber from LMC and it was too big (about an inch too long along the bottom). I had to order one from a w/s place locally. I also ordered all the rest of the rubber for my '79 F150 and was not impresed with the fit of the door weather stripping and window anti-rattle stuff...
