I have a question about theon the tailgate. Over the weekend I tried pullng the F250 emblem off my tailgate thinking it was held on by tape only, since all emblems seem to be held on that way anymore. What I discovered is that the emblem is held on by tape BUT it also has a pin sticking out of it. So there are holes in the sheet metal. Since I have now distroyed the old emblem and have holes exposed I am going to install a new one. I am wondering if anyone knows if the Harely emblem has the same pin configuration as the normal It makes since that Ford would only have one stamping for the outer skin, considering the volume of the Harley trucks, but it did not make since that Ford had holes in the talgate for the emblem because tape really holds in on. Yes I understand the posibility of have one crooked. I do ride a Harley and if I am going to buy something why not buy that badge.
Billetbadges.com will be your best choice. Unless you want to go back to stock. I had them make a few badges for me and they are great to deal with. Steve is very good about quick email and getting your product to you.
I called the dealer today to see how much the H-D emblem is $125. This is absolutely amazing $ 0.10 in plastic and maybe a couple buck to have it plated. Just a reference I asked about the standard F-250 emblem $25.
It looks like it wll be a cutom after all. Thanks for the billetbadges site the stuff looks good as long as I can get what I am after.
The holes are the same for the xlt, lariat. king ranch and harley. The harley are metal not plastic at least for the 04's. I carefully removed mine with a hair dryer and dental floss and installed king ranch on all three spots. A red King Ranch is kinda cool. All 3 were less than $75.
