On standby for Navy.

My youngest bro-inlaw was informed on th 16th he would be put into action very soon. He's in a Naval Sub school in Georgia. He
was'nt supposed to go out untill late fall. But now the Gonernment is pushing him threw school in a hurry so he can be placed on a sub. In his words;"Don't worry. It's the safest place in the world, right now."

I worked at SubBase pearl for many years, and my wife still works there. I can tell you that they take their job VERY seriously, and are capable of whatever they are tasked with. A large part of submarine life is now delivering and retrieving SEAL teams. If your relative ends up stationed out of Pearl and there is ANYTHING he needs, you let me know and I'll be glad to help him in any way I can. That goes for anyone on here, also. I'm not in the military any more, but I still got contacts and feel I need to do SUMPTHIN. Me and the other old farts are just watchin it all go by, and we're goin nuts.

Then you have memories of WW2, Korea, and Nam that are still valid, and helpful.

You know what makes a community come together in the face of a thing like this, and have the opportunity to give the benefits of what you saw then to all who will listen.

Your advice is much needed in these times.

God bless you, man
