I have a shop manual for my 1976 ford 390. And it shows the 460 in the 1976. Also my neighbor has a 1977 club cab and it has a 460 in it and it is the orginal motor. I don't know which was the first year but I am pretty sure these two years had the 460

Last year of the 460 was 97-98 in the F350, before they switched to the super duty and the V10. Maybe f250HD as well. Not sure on the first year, but you didn't ask that.
