Let us pray....

Firstly I had better point out that I am a grossly offensive person, being a Bishop in a large and ancient Faith.

I have read this thread carefully, and am at a loss to understand why someone should complain about a persons hope to make better this terrible thing - through prayer.

I recognize that there are many different ideas of faith, and that each person may have their own, but I cannot see the point of someone picking on a distressed human being in such a way as to criticize them for their beliefs. That is a very low thing to do to any person. I suppose that my opinion is going to get me verbally criticized if not even abused, but as I said, I have a disgusting job, in the eyes of many, so being lambasted on the pages of this website is not a very big deal. Greywolf, Thank you for offering your means of comfort to everyone else here. Do not allow the criticism of another stop you from praising your believed Savior when ever you feel the need.

Greywolf was not being insensative. He was not forsing you to pray with him. Yes I do think that prayer changes things and I believe that God is very real but if anyone decided to pray to their god I would not nessasarily participate, but I would not see a problem with allowing it to happen.

Let us pray....

Thanks a truck-load, "T".

And pardon the irreverance of my last post in this thread...

I try very hard to keep the part about "As we forgive those who tresspass against us" in mind, but I believe we are dealing with vile animals in this thing, if not pure evil itself.

I think it is critical to be a spiritual warrior, as well as an actual one, if we go in after this menace.

For those who must go "Incountry", may the good Lord be their shield and their sword...

In any case, let's get 'em!

It's going to take everyone to deal with what we see before us, bubba.

That's why it's more important to remember than ever before, exactly what a real american is.

Greywolf, Theologian, Tomohawk, I am behind you guy's 100%.
Spiritual power can be a very strong force reguardless of what religion or what God one may believe in. I believe that in one form or another, all paths lead to the same destination and that we all look up to the same almighty Big Guy one way or another.
My thoughts. Jake.

Thank you, Jake. Very much. I merely refer to Jehova by His given Name rather than God or Lord. God and Lord can be applied to many beings, omnipotent or otherwise. That dose not make me a Jehovas Witness. In fact I have no church of preferance. but I do worship Him as close as possible to the exact Word of His Law.
I'm not saying that I do not attend meetings. Because I do. I do enjoy being around people of my faith. But that can be in any Church. I do not stop at one door. And I do faithfully read The New World translations of The Holy Scriptures. I have read 3 other versions of the Holy Bible. Just the New World Translation seems to be the most truthful and accurate to me.
No,I'm not saying anyone is wrong in their beleifs. It's just the way I see things. But, like you said, right now EVERYBODY needs to pray. We are living in a bad time right now. And the next time the sun comes up we may not be here.

Jake, That is a very good thought and way of life, I embrace it at all times, and do most definitely believe that if the path teaches goodness, truth, honesty, respect and love, we will all meet again, in the home of the Creator. (even those of us, who choose not to follow any theism, but hold true the path of love and trust, respecting others, and being honest to themselves.)

Let us pray....

Thanks Theologian. I think your statement makes alot of us feel better, especially me. I personally don't regularly attend church, in fact, I go very seldom, maybe on Christmas. It's not that I don't believe in any higher being, rather I am positive there is a great being up there looking down on us, watching us in everyday life. I don't really pray (with the exeption of instances like in these past weeks), I try to do good to others, treat everyone with the respect they deserve, unless they otherwise show me they deserve none, and I try to live my life how I want to, to enjoy it as I feel like. But what you said about how despite the fact that many don't attend church or other forms of worship, if we are true to ourselves, if we try to do right by others, then we will all meet again, it brings a sense of surity to me, and I feel alot better. Probabl because whenever I used to go to church years ago, the minister would always basically say right out, "if you don't worship like the rest of us, if you don't believe my beliefs, then you are doomed". Statements like those never really affected me that much, but just to hear what you said makes me feel alot better. Thank you, and may whatever god or higher being all of you worship bless you with his kindness and love.

~Ryan
