I'm trying to decide which lift to go with for my 2005 F350 True Blue Harley PSD. It seems through my research that DR is the best out there. I haven't seen many posts about Fabtech lifts. How do they ride compared to other lifts? I am considering going with 37/13.5/20 Toyo MT's on 20x10 Weld Cheyenne 8"s and either a DR 7" or the Fabtech 8" 4-link kit. Any suggestions and/or comments? I want to do it right the first time. Thanks.
Oh yeah, one more question....Can you get the Fabtech kits in black instead of blue?
I'm running the radius arm Fabtech kit with traction bars and lI'm very happy so far. As for you get what you pay for...Donahue makes quality products, but if your into usable articulation then Donahue does not make a kit that would compare to any 4 link/ coilover design. I'm not knocking Donahue at all, I just see a lot of people boasting about Donahue who have not given some of the other brands a fair chance. And yes the Fabtech kits also come in black. If you want the best of the best, go with 4" Coilovers and a Four-link setup. Its not for everyone, but if you've got the cash.
Blwn, i just recieved my fabtech 8" radius arm lift kit and from all the pictures i had seen, i thought they were all blue. But the place i bought it from had me list the color and other info for my truck upon ordering and the kit i recieved is black. DR is supposed to be good from what i've heard, but they are also more expensive i think. Also, the only size i'd seen out from DR so far for the 05's was the 4.5" kit.
Motoman, did you install your lift? Pm me, i'd like to know. Thanks
I have the 6" basic fabtech lift on my 2005 f250 cc 4x4. I love it. for street use it is great with 37x12.5x18 bfg mt's 18x9.5 american racing wheels 4.25 backspacing.
it has rubbed only one time full turn and a big bump. the ride is just like stock.
mine came in black also.
Hey, those of you with the 8" fabtech, what is the height of your front and rear bumper off the ground and what size tires are you running? I'm trying to make sure i'm going to be under or at least very close to the limit. Hopefully under 30" front and 31" rear.

I did not install it myself. I live 8 hours from the dealership, so I had them deliver it to a shop that I buy wholesale from and they had it done when I picked it up.
Moto man, that looks very nice. I'm actually pretty excited, a place I emailed last night got back to me and said they would be able to mount/balance my tires, install the lift and exhaust for me, so i might have this all done sooner than i thought!
