Air Conditioning Questions?
Hi, I am buying a 1978 F250 and was wondering how hard it is (or if it is possible) to install air conditioning into a truck that doesn't come stock with AC. Or is their some sort of aftermarket...under the dash kind of setup? Thanks for the help!

All you need to do is find another truck in the scrapyard with the a/c option. Then get all the required dash panels, ductwork, and heater box. Then purchase a NEW compressor, evaporator, lines, and heater core.

Like pfogle said, just find a parts truck and swap the entire heat/a/c system over to yours. I did this to mine last summer and it was pretty easy. A large hole needs to be cut into the fire wall, just make a cardboard template off the parts truck and use a sawzall to cut it. Once I got the parts from the salvage yard, it took a afternoon to cut the hole and swap the parts onto my '73. Search through past posts for step by step instructions.
