Today I purchased a 1969 F-100 Ranger with a 360 from Alabama.
It has factory air but hasn't been used for 10 years. The compressor belt has been removed and the idler pulley is shot. My money is in short supply. What hints can you give to check this unit out for myself or shoud I just take it to the a/c people and brake the bank.
Boomer, you have about five months to save up. I suspect everything under the hood is shot. I'd suggest changing out everything to use the new charge gas, and come August roll up the windows and ride till you sweat.
