67 column bearing

67 column bearing

I have a 67 f-350 the bearing in the bottom of the steering column is gone and allowing the steering wheel/column to pull up and twist the rag joint. Does anyone know if the bearing can be replaced if so where can you get it. or do i have to find a new column for it.. will a 70's or 80's truck column work.. Thanks, DJ

You can get the parts at the Ford dealer and it's real easy to rebuild the colunn all by yourself. Check this out:

While you're at it, replace the steering coupler (aka rag joint). They are cheap. Mine fell apart while removing the steering column. I had no idea it was so far gone. It had looked fine.
