From: Maple Valley Wa.
Question shift **** on A4LD

How would I go about removing the shift **** on an '88 BII A4ld transmission?
I wanted to remove it to put on a new one.

you sure? because when I try to pull it off, all that starts to come off is the black rubbber outside, and that doesn't even come off all the way.the inside doesn't move at all.
