A4LD, no second gear

A4LD, no second gear
1985 Ranger, A4ld. Everything else works great,
but no second gear. I have replaced broken bands in
C4 & C6 in the past (10 -15 years ago) with snap bands,
is such a band available for A4Ld? (or C3)? Or can O.E.
type go in without removing trans from vehicle? Or maybe
the problem is not band. (servo etc.)
