Smile Nostalgia got the best of me, back to the basics!

I did away with the Krager super sports and went back to the original wheels. I bought the wheels and tires off of e-bay. Gave them a good cleaning and painting and installed them. I really like the looks, I'm now waiting for the hub caps and beauty rings. You guys have really had an impact on me, a year ago I thought I would one day make a hot rod out of it. Now I just sit and look at it and am glad I decided to go old school. Back to almost all original. Under the hood is a flat head six.

Yea, over the years I got tired of the upkeep on custom wheels. I also put stock style wheels and hubcaps on my 51. My truck is my daily driver, and living here in Seattle they would require a lot of upkeep.

Stock looking with a mild lowering job and modern drive train would make that truck a knock out.

Then again, I like them modified... but stock appearing.

Yea, that's all in the future after I catch up on the $6,500.00 I've spent to get her this far.

Sweet truck! I have stock black wheels on my 56 now and love them. I think I am going to skip the hub caps, I like the simple look. In a way the simple black wheels allow one to see the beauty of the shape of the body a bit better. Dont get me wrong, these trucks look great with nice wheels too, I think this is another way to go that is under appreciated...
