I'm going to do some measuring on these wheels to match up backspacing in a 16" wheel. But then it occurred to me that they may not even be original. What do you think?
These are the dealer photo's I snatched up before I bought it, so they are not really good photos of the wheels. If it's not good enough to tell I'll snap some better ones.
Thanks everyone. I guess I'll just use the current backspacing as a starting point then. They seem to sit good where they are, not too tucked in or out.
That wheelbase is sure SHORT!
I love it. The turning radius is amazing for a full size truck. Another good reason for me to pay attention to backspacing.
i love the look, i agree originally silver, but in your case, the red looks awesome with the paint, truck looks nice and clean... is that original, or a restoration? mileage?
Nice looking truck, but i am biased because it looks exactly like mine. Mine is raven black with chrome trim and has black nascar rims, and yes the turning radius is great. The tires on mine are goodyear sportking AT 33.12.50,s and they really make the truck look beefy and they ride and wear great.

As near as I can tell it's original. Mileage is about 35,000. It's a one owner PA truck, non-wintered, garage kept. The underside has very mild surface rust. The interior is virtually flawless. It looks and drives like a one or two year old truck.
It's not showroom quality, but very nice just the same.
Have you got any pics of you're truck? Sounds like we have similar tastes, mine is an 86, originally grey and very stock looking. I am working on getting some pictures of mine on this site.
Man absolutely gorgeous truck! I am totally envious of you, I'd buy that thing from you right now! Incredible considering it's age, looks like it rolled out of the factory like that. What engine does it sport?
I know what you mean, Zach. I had been looking for a truck for a couple weeks when I stumbled on this at a mall sale. They had the hood up. Totally clean. I looked inside and underneath, and gave the salesmen all the cash I had on me. Drove a couple hours home and back with my check book and drove the truck home.
To think of the two other trucks I tried to make a deal on before I stumbled on this one makes me sick to think I would have bought either of them with this thing on the market. It pays to be patient I guess. I just got lucky. If I got the right price on either of the first two I would have never even seen this truck.
It has the little 5.0L EFI. I just tinckered with my profile so the truck's specs should come up in my signature with this post.
