Crossover steering question

Alright, I've got my heims for the knuckles, and I've got the tube and the tube adaptors to keep the front wheels aligned. How do I attach the drag link to the tie rod? I was thinkin of getting everything lined up, then welding two pieces of 3/16 plate to the tie rod, and putting a bolt thru it and the heim attached to the drag lonk, but that'd take away the ability to adjust the alignment. Suggestions? I was thinkin of making a sleeve that would 'float' on the tie rod between two stops, but I'm not sure that would work. Should I just run the drag link/heim over to the PS knuckle, and put the tie rod under the knuckle, as opposed to over the knuckle?

On those setups I think it's best to do the tie rod under the knuckle and the drag link over. You'll need a shim or bushing of some sort to lift the heim on the drag link just a little so it doesn't bind and seperate the joint. This is one of the reasons it's a better option to use a TRE on a drag link than a heim, but if the angle isn't too much you should be okay.

There isn't too much of a stupid angle there, so I should be ok with just running a heim over to the knuckle and getting a little bit longer bolt. Just what I was looking for.
