Cracks

Cracks
I finally got into tearing down my flathead 8 and i noticed several cracks,They're from the stud bolt hole to the water jacket between the cylinders in three spots. A friend who helped me tear it down said this was normal with flatheads, Is it normal? Can these be fixed?

You're good with those - some guys pin these but you can get along just fine as is. It's the ones in the cylinder walls or valve wells or lifter chest that must be repaired. The deadly ones are in the pan rails/main bearing web. Those can't be fixed.
