machine shop
I'm finally tearing down a flathead I bought months and months ago and will soon be looking for a good machine shop. I'm in Grand Forks, ND and have talked to a guy in a shop in town who has worked on flatheads before. He said he can do everything but the machining and installing the hardened valve seats. Has anyone built a motor without those?

Did you try the "flattie forum " here on this site?..
I know of a shop in my area that will do that work, Maryland is a long way from the Dakota"s though...LoL! Feel free to PM me if I can help. I think you will want the new hardened seats for regular gas, but I know very little about the flatheads...I leave that stuff to the experts...Good Luck!

You might give a call to Flathead Jack's to see if they know someone in your area that builds the flathead. Flathead Jack, USA's Hot Rodding Headquarters
