VikingBabe, when I checked the Symantec web site, at least one of these trojans was added to the AV definitions back in 2002. I am pretty sure that NAV added trojans to their scanner in 2002. Before that it was just virii.
oh, didnt think that it was because of my deleting files.. it was just really odd that in the middle of my virus hunting is when the stuff got smoked.. that really is about my luck.. and the bad thing is that i have another machine but its back at my farm in Louisiana. and it is slower. but i cant really complain though because i have had 6 machines since 1995 and have not had to pay for the first one of them.. everybody wants to give me computers.. so right now, i am waiting for someone else to feel like being charitable and donate anthor one to me.
Looks like i got rid of it. I used Spybot,Spysubtract,Symantec and two different free Window Registry Repairs, then redid AVG scan and it seems to repair it this time. I don't get any more virus detected at restart. Thanks for all your help and for the speedy replies! Wow i got a headache from reading just about everything on the net about getting rid of this trogan. By the way no replies from the SupportTechGuy forum so far. Pfgole now that I'm using Firefox I can't create a shortcut and can't use my free from the net spell checker called ( IE SPELL) on FTE anymore, before i would right click on IE and it would list it.???? Why
Later,
Mike
As the name implies, IE Spell. Internet Explorer. Per their website, that is all they support.
What I am using is Wordweb. It doesn't automatically spell check everything, but if you highlite a word and click on the systray icon, it will check the word for you. I am sure there are many others out there. For Wordweb, see here: http://wordweb.info/free/

Firefox does not have all the nice "toots and whistles" Windows offers or supports. For example, it did not import all my passwords from Windows after changing over to it a few months back. Had to because of a worm hitting the vBulletin forums 2.5 of a PC game website I help administer. If you used Windows, an "object" would deposit a backdoor trojan in your machine. Had to use Firefox until the webtechs found and fixed the problem. After upgrading the forums to 3.5, no more "attacks".
But using firefox, on other forum sites, I had to reregister or hit "lost password". Bummer.
But as an alternative browser it does well enough to keep you from getting hit by all those trojans/spyware aimed at Windows. Just have to stay aware and use the Ad Aware frequently to clean those spyware buggers out.
I got a virus called Downloader Agent and bad file names are sdkhp***** and d3li*****. I have the free version of AVG virus scan and it always keeps asking for my to delete files, which I do. Is there a way to remove these bad files, i tried a regular delete, but didn't work. I get these listed on virus scan and try to put them in the vault and it still list them on the next scan. HELPPP
