300 6 kickdown?

300 6 kickdown?
can someone help me with some pictures or explaining how the kick down is hooked up on an 81 f250 with a 300 6? i have a guy complaining about his truck lacking power and im wondering if the trans is burned up from not having the linkage. are the 300 6 autos c6s? i believe its a c6 or maybe a c5. any help would be great asap. thanks.....

I just pulled an intake from such a set up in the junkyard Saturday and if i recall correctly there is a piece that attaches to the carb and travels down the intake towrd the firewall and then the trans rod connects to it. It is not a straight shot. The piece on the intake appears to change the direction of the motion from the carb to the kick down rod.
