Ok right now I have a 4 speed backed to a 300 this is a 4x4. I am in the process of replaceing the 300 with a worked 302. However I do not want the 4 speed manual anymore and i have a c6 trany. I know the 302 will bolt up to the 4 speed bellhousing but will the 302 bolt to the c6. Now if the 302 and c6 will bolt, will the transfer case off of the 4 speed bolt to the c6. I really need help on this one.
The c6 came in different bellhousing patterns. If you have a small ford pattern, it will fit. You need an adapter for the rear of the tranny and a different output shaft, to mate to the transfer case. I have never done it, but heard you have to take the whole tranny apart to install the shaft to make it work with a transfer case.
If you happen to have a small ford c6, with a regular non-4x4 output shaft, I would sell it. They used to be desirable for someone who was making alot of power where a c4 wouldn't hold up. Then take that money and buy a c6 out of a 4x4, that was made to fit.
