Part Number: YL3Z-13A576-GB This is a pigtail for the rear of truck. not sure if this will work for you. google this part number. you will see some info on this on. The next one you will need.

Part Number: F85Z-14A348-AA This is the pigtail for the controller to plug under dash.

Thanks for the Help. I did managed to find the harness for under the dash, made by Hidden Hitch.

I will run that number past the Parts counter at the dealership and see what I get.

I managed to connect the controller last night (with the harness) I have identified the Blue Trailer wire in the one mystery factory connection, but I cannot ID the other 2 wires that are with it.

Read up through this thread. All of the mystery wires are explained. A few of the guys here help me a lot. Hope this helps. Joe

wire code

7 way wire code on the ford is different then will be listed in the back of a 7 way RV plug ( the ford code is actaully 7 way round pin semi trailer code <SORT of>)

function .....................ford 7 way ..................RV plug code
electric brake ..............blue........................... blue
hot line (batt +) ...........orange .......................black
running lights............... brown (white trace) .....Green
right turn/brake light .....green ........................brown
left turn/ brake light......yellow ........................red
ground....................... white......................... white
backup light ................black (green trace) .......yellow

looking into the truck plug the lines go upper left hot, upper right lights, left left turn, right right turn, lower left brake, lower right ground, center backup.

most seven way plugs are marked on the back of the insert next to each connector with the seven way code color.

I have a 2000 250, Lariat, CC .. apparently came with the tow pckg because I have a 4 wire and 7wire harness out back...along with hitch

I just inherited a horse and trailer ( no one died, just sick of the horse) ... interested in what brake controller to buy and how difficult the install will be???
