Hey guys. I was wondering if someone knew of a good site for a drop hitch for me. I've got a 99 PSD w/ a 6" lift kit on 37's... Now its an early 99 w/ the 4" block instead of late 99 w/ 2" blocks, adn I did do the full 6" spring in the back.
What i'm looking to find is something thats not 300 bucks if possible, if thats all there is so be it.. but i've got a 6'x12' inclosed that I'll be pulling for my dirtbike and stuff, and I need to get a good strong hitch for it.
All the best drop hitches that I have seen have been homemade. I have used some store-bought models but they did not impress me. If I ever need another one I will go to my local fab shop. Also don't forget that you need to make some arrangements for safety chains too. If you ever borrow a trailer the chains may not reach.
On another note I am curious to know if you got the SD up and running? What did you find that was keeping it from starting? I have seen the pics in your gallery and you definitely deserve to have that thing up and running.

A thought on this matter would be to fab-up some chain extensions.... just use 2 legnths of chain with a strong snap ring on one end, and the hooks on the other.... Bingo! insta-extend a chain!!
That's exactly what I have in my toolbox. Two extensions to allow the chains to tie in to the frame of the reciever on one end and the trailer chains hook on the other end. My truck is stock hieght though so I RARELY need them.
I do use clevis bolts on both ends, I just trust them more than the snap links and quick links
Rapid hitch makes some trick items. I have their adjustable drop hitch, pricy but worth it to me. They have fixed drop hitches that will work and they are no outragous and will not rust in Michigan winter.

Its being worked on right now. the guy that I had working on the motor has it down at his place now. not sure if thats a good thing or not cause I don't think he's fixing his problem very fast.... As it may be, we are thinking it to be an injector cup so we got a new one and we fabed a tool for pulling it out, so he shoujdl be attending to that tonight or tomorrow. If thats all it is then I'll get my truck back this week. If its not then who knows.... knowing my luck, its something else!!! But I hope not. Friday happens to be my b-day and I was thinking how nice it would be to have my truck back for it.. So I can only cross my fingers.
