VIN check

Working with a dealer on a 05 DRW 4x4 FX4 6.0, the only problem is that a previous dealer had rejected the truck and the new dealer has picked it up. They have it listed at $42,000 ($49,000 list price) but say they do not know why the first dealer had rejected the truck. If anyone knows how to check a VIN and find out what is wrong with the truck or why the dealer rejected the truck and if this a decent deal or a lemon that I should stay away from.
VIN 1FPWX33P55EA82687

The vehicle hasn't been titled yet, so that VIN is still showing as invalid. You might ought to do a little research on that before buying it. I apologize for not being able to help more, but on that vehicel OASIS is useless.

It could just be that the truck may have been special ordered for someone and Ford either put something on or left and option off the truck and they refused the truck. at wich case that dealer didn't have room for it there. Or they could have just simply done a dealer trade. Either way there may not be anything really wrong with the truck. And whoever buys the truck gets a nice deal or that dealer will just make a nice profit off of it. And both situations are very common. However it is always a good idea to take it for a test drive first jus incase. and if anything is wrong with it and your dealer doesn't disclose that to the buyer they could face a big lawsuit and they don't want that.

I agree with Paredneck33, and at $42 they're still not giving it away, That is probably right around invoice - not quite A Plan pricing.

How did it compare to your 03? I drove a 05 just recently and the only thing
that I noticed that was an improvement was the ride and the turnig radius.
As far as power, and get up and go, my 03 was faster and had more
throttle response from the getgo.

The 03 seemed to have better response and more power. The 05 has 4.10 and the 03 3.73, I thought with 4.10 the would be quicker off line with somewhat of a lower top end. The 03 would beat the 05 off the line and has the higher top end. The 05 is a much better ride to include the turning radius. Not sure if I am going with the 05. Shifting is better on the 03, love the new style on the 05

I agree with you, not sure if I will go with this. Great looking truck, all black and a dually 4x4!!!!! Cant stop thinking about it, if they go lower on the price then I will get it. The big problem is they want to give me auction price for mine... I tell them let me give them auction price for theirs and it may be a deal. They are slowly increasing the price on mine but not sure what they will top out at. Any suggestions on this and I would give a million thanks.
