there is a guy selling a 2005 f-350 v-10 super cab 4x4 xlt long bed single axel. the truck has power windows, power seats, cd player. trucks has electronic shift on fly. the trck has 655 miles on it, and he wants 35k or best offer. do you guys think this is a good deal, let me know what you think
I would go to ford direct.com and find out what a similar truck would cost at dealer invoice. then consider sales tax, ext warranty etc..
PS: on ford direct you can build your truck first and then locate a close match at a dealer in your state via your zip code.
I ordered and should be here in a couple weeks a 2005 F250 Lariat crew cab,5.4, 4x4 for $32760 after Fords $2500 rebate and a $300.00 commercial rebate.
My dealer sold the truck at invoice which is fairly common.
I think in most cases when you are dealing with vehicles that new you may be better off buying new with some of the big rebates out there now.
I have an 04 same truck, except Lariat, and PSD. I paid 38k out the door X plan, 35k for an XLT V-10 used (regardless of mileage), doesn't strike me as a good deal.
Here, it goes to show you about big rebates, Ford just raised the SD rebate up another $500(up to $3000 now) in my region.
That brings my cost down to $32260 for a brand new truck ordered the way I wanted.
I have to agree with 3/4ER, that doesn't seem like a great price for that truck.
I bet you could find a new one on the lot for that price or even less.
There are 2 of them here in southeastern Wi. right now with inv. about $36,500 then minus the $3000 rebate gets you $33,500 for a brand new one. These are both crew cabs tho.
Why would someone sell an 05 Super Duty with 655 miles on it if he didn't have problems. It might be one of the few ones out there that have issues you don't want.
I would definately go for a new one with the rebate that Ford is offering now.
I wish I would have waited for the rebates to buy mine. Ooooh it hurts to see those $2500 window stickers in the same lot I bought my truck in last October. Suppose I just couldn't wait to buy her. Oh well, I really love my truck so how could I consider "if I woulda if I woulda".
