67-72 cab shell on 71
hello to all ,
will all the cab shells 67 - 72 work on my 71?
will it matter if it's long bed or shortbed? my 71 is short wheel base.
i've been assuming the cabs are all the same.

Charlie, yes they are the same from 67-72. So as soon as you find a good one, you can drop it on your 71. The cab and front of the frame don't care about the long box/short box differance, all of that happens behind the cab. When you make the switch, you'll need at least 8 strong friends. At least, thats how I got mine swapped. DF, @ his Dad's house

Just remember if you get a 67 cab the heater controls and wiring will be different. There may be wiring differences beween other years as well such as where the flasher switch is.
The only difference in the metal parts should be in the 67 cabs heater controls, I think.
