Got a dremel? I cut the back out of my stock radio holder, but left enough of a lip for the stereo sleeve to hold on, then cut a line up each of the corners on the top and CAREFULLY bent the sides out. Bending the sides out to 90 degrees will make the width at the front and same as the back. A gap is made that I filled by clamping a peice of sheet steel or plastic or whatever(I think I used a smooth chunk of wood) to the inside top and filling from the back with some 4 min. JB weld. When the epoxy cured I popped the wood off and painted the inside black. It took a little filing and grinding witht he dremel to get every thing to fit just right, but it ended up looking really good and is difficult to tell its not stock since none of the crome trim was cut.

If you decide to try this, you can pick up an extra radio holder at a pull-a-part lot for about $3 in my area. good luck

I would go with the pick-n-pull idea, you might find one already cut to the DIN size you probably need, and you can save your old radio and bezel for later when you go back to original...

I just Bent the Stock radio ears back so if I decide to go stock later I can just bend them back, plus it kinda hold the radio a little better.
