I need to replace all the window guides/channels in the doors, and probably the wing window rubbers as well. It's my understanding that the '72 came with a rubber wiper on the outside of the door glass, whereas the '67-71 just had the felt.

Anyone have any experience with this? It seems there is an early '72 vs. a later '72... does the early '72 have the rubber wiper and will it fit a '67? How hard are they to replace, top and sides?

Yes there is different ones for 67-70 all felt and 71-72 with felt inside and rubber out. I put the ones for the 71-72 on my 70 crewcab they snap in the same all years,the rubber does make a big differance. I repaced all the rubber and felt in all my doors and windows and it was really easy. The anti-rattlers are held in by metal clips just squeeze them and pop out with a screwdriver.

 

I wonder if the rubber outside anti-rattlers that came out in '71 had anything to do with the AM/FM radio option that came out in '71 with the door speakers.

Everything I'm seeing in all catalogs and on the 'net shows 67-71 is one kit (all felt), with 71-72 from Serial Number K40,001 is another kit (felt inside and rubber outside)... what am I not snapping on? I would think either kit would fit any truck from 67-72, correct? Why would anyone want to buy the all felt kit if they can get the felt/rubber kit same price?

They are the same as far as installation and hardware just the material(rubber) is different on the 71-72 on the outside. Sorry if I confused it in the wording all the 67-72 anti-rattlers are universal.
