Steering box "Rag" joint

Hey guys,
I have the standard steering box on my 66 F250, and I am wondering where to get the "Rag" joint (Part numbe, Description, etc.) from.
My is a little loose so I should probably replace it.

Another question along the same line: Is this joint also attached when I convert to power steering ?(which I will do eventually?

Thanks in advance,Thom

I have seen these in the "help" product line at parts stores like pepboys.

A better question would be....

1. Should I replace the entire steering coupling?
OR....2. Remove the coupling & replace the "Rag Joint".

What do you guys think is the best plan of attack?

I would replace just the rag joint if the coupling doesn't look bad (gouged).

Your local Ford dealer has a new plastic rag joint. Not cheap! But it will last for years and you can use it with your power steering setup when you are ready to install that.

Thumbs up

Thanks guys, I purchased the complete replacement through NPD. I didnt know about the plastic one though, (that sounds like a great replacement.)

The joint that was in there was the original so it was a little tore up. Should get to it in the next few days so I can get to work buttoning this this up for the summer trips.
