steering column rag joint question
what is this plastic thing on my rag joint, do i need this on my new rag joint i am installing?

I don't have them on mine.
Either I'm supposed to but don't care or...
Somebody added them to your truck once upon a time.
Now I'm curious!

i have part number C6TZ-3A525-A (rag joint) i just ordered, i'm just wondering what the plastic part i have i my hand is, it didn't come with the rag joint

Appears to be some sort of insulator around the posts. I've never seen a rag joint with that on it, and I've replaced several!
