Average time for repairs?

Average time for repairs?
Ok guys, I've got my truck in a local dealerships body shop for work and they tell me it won't be until next Tuesday or Wednesday until I get my truck back. That will make it a MONTH since I took it in!! I've used to work for Thrifty Car Rental, and we used to take cars to various body shops all over town and I never heard of a car staying in the body shop for a whole month!!

well, how many repair hours are on the estimate? I just glanced at one picture, but from what I've seen doesn't look like a month's repair to me. I could see if they had to wait for parts or something, but don't see why they would be waiting for front end sheetmetal and bumper on a common vehicle like a ford truck and being they are a dealer might have the stuff in stock. Maybe they are really busy and took it in way before they were able to get to the repairs.

Since the truck looks undrivable, does the month include getting an agreed price from the ins. Co. That could take a week by itself. Also front wheel damage is almost impossible to estimate just by looking at it, we usually put it on the machine and diagnose than need to call back ins. adjuster. If it was just the sheet metal I would say 7 to 10 working days but with suspension problems 2 to 3 weeks repair time is not unusual.

This took about 6 wks. because it was during Christmas/New years. But it is a little more damage
