While I think the hanging parts are most definetely wrong, the Peveto family doesn't condon shoddy work. I know these folks on a personal level. Unfortunately, they get to hire the same yo-yos that the dealerships hire and despite the corporate training, things like this still happen. The manager should have had his backside chewed on for letting this happen and really should have replaced the brake hoses at the cost of the tech working on the truck. I'm not sure that these shops are nation wide yet so some folks won't know about the gator or bear.
Could someone explain this one to me? I dont see anything wrong. It looks to me like the job is in progress about halfway done, just that no one is giving it any particular attention to the truck right now.
When I first read this, last night, I looked at the picture, expecting to see chunks of some dead animal carcus, hanging down, into a brake. WTH is the gator and bear reference?
Considering that most brake shops let the calipers hang by the hoses, and it basically never causes a problem, they will probably get a good laugh of it and move on.

No kidding. I've worked in two shops so far and that's the way it is done. I'm about the only one who makes the effort to not let them hang. No, it's not right, but it happens all the time.
And thats the reason my car and truck have never been to a shop.
And that's totally justified. Case in point - took the Bronco in for an alignment. They already had it up on the lift, and they offer a free brake check. I haven't had it that long, and hadn't had a chance to look at the brakes myself yet. So yeah, go ahead.
Brakes are fine. Everything checks out. Cool, right?
Wrong. I was adjusting the brakes that they didn't bother to, and decided to take a look in there myself because something didn't feel right. Opened it up, and both wheel cylinders are leaking fluid. One side is completely frozen.
By brake check, they meant that they'll actually use them in the parking lot when backing it off the lift, rather than just letting it roll into the first solid object in it's path....
