Lightbulb Ford Powered Jeep

Howdy all! Like Ray R., I am too working on a Ford Powered Jeep. My question is What kind of mods am I going to have to look forward to? I am planing on keeping axels as is, for stability. The "Donor vehicle" is a 78 ford bronco. I was going to originally use the Bronco alone, but the body is too far gone. So, I am putting entire drivetrain into an 87 CJ-7. Will the transmission fit? C-6 4wd. The engine is a 351 M modified. Rear end is a 9 in., Axel #16 for you tech buffs out there. I believe the front end is a #16 too, according to the ford dealer. Couldnt pass up the bronco. 50 bucks! Hope alll will work! If ya have any input on the subject, feel free to email me! Firefighter875@yahoo.com Thank you!

I used to talk on amcforum.net alot when i had my amc's (hope to be getting another soon)... and i know there was a guy there that was a fixing up a CJ and he was putting in a 302...so i know that it will work..well..the modified is bigger...but i still think it should be fairly easy..i don't think it would be extraordinarily hard...

87 CJ? thought they quit making them in 86... even if it's a chrysler wrangler, it'd be about the same idea, the 4.0L and 4.2L (258) are in the same family..
