I need an old aluminum camper shell for my sons full-size 1979 F150. Somebody has to have one somewhere out in a backyard or the south 40!!!
I am really desperate, so if you have ANYTHING, even if its missing something, please let me know.
Thanks,

I got a buddy that has a fiberglass one and he only wants 80 buks for it. Not sure it will fit on that year but if you want i can measure it and give ya the dimesions!!
I live in Tucson Arizona and there are caps like you are seeking all over here. Many took them off due to escess heat in Arizona sun and now are trying to sell them.
The distance is far and shipping would be high and someone would have to crate one for such shipping.
How hard would it be for you to make the trip to get one here.
I have seen them as low as 75 dollars and as high as 150 and they are fairly common. You see many setting in yards for the past few years that never move and likely would sell them cheap as the market to sell them here is very low.
If anyone wants good caps for the Arizona days they usually go for a well insulated fiberglass type now unless they plan to install some kind of cooling system.
The want ads for Tucson are online and I think the local Thrift newspaper ad is also online. I will look up the thrift paper site but for the two papers here use the following.
Your right Mark, he has a habit of doing that!!
Thanks Jimbo for the Arizonia tip, but I dont think its cost effective! It would cost more in gas to feed that 460 then to buy a new cap.
