I am ready to weld my front cab mounts on, after major repair of cab floor
and firewall. I need some tips on proper placement of the cab mounts as any
past markings are not there. The cab is off the frame.
If your rear cab mounts are still good on the bottom of the cab, I would get my measurements from your frame supports (on the frame) for location.
Measure the distance from the center of the rear cab mount on your frame, to the center of the front mount also on your frame and transfer that measurement to the cab floor referencing your good rear cab mount. This would give you your distance from the rear cab mount to the front cab mount.
Next, I would measure the width of the front cab mounts on the frame and transfer that to the bottom of the cab, being sure to center them from side to side (assuming your cab mounts on the frame are centered).
