Are you talking the cab portion of the mount? Or the frame portion? The cab is typical rust and fixing it can be done a few ways depending on your capabilities/equipment.
Gently jack up cab, cut out old, slide in new and weld/bolt/rivet. Or you can pull cab and roll it on it's back and do it.
I just changed the left side today on my 72 F350, going to do the right side tomorrow. I highly recommend buying them from dennis carpenter, they are about 85.00 per side but well worth it. Perfect repoduction.
