240 vs. 300
For 5 months I thought there was a 300I6 in my 66 F100 and buying replacement parts for her. Well a recent discovery shows me the motor is actually a 240. I understand that many parts fit both ie. intakes, headers..(Clifford) but what about some of the other parts ie. fuel pump, water pump. What is the difference and what is the same on these engines?

What's different is internal. Pistons,rings, rods, crank, cam, crankshaft gear are different. That's what gives the extra cubes. Waterpump was the same for many years, fuel pump is the same.
