What's the final call on dim dash lights, how to resolve it so i can see without squinting what's going on, and i don't want to put in a new cluster. from reading around, there's ways to clean it off, change the bulbs, or even put in different color lights, or in some cases, diferent color leds?
you can take the cluster out and take the blue caps off the bulbs. then if you want you can put in different colored bulbs. when i did mine i uses the regular clear bulbs except behind the speedo i put in blue bulbs it makes it the same color as befor only brighter.

okay, so another question. how powerful of a bulb do i use? is there anyway to change that green, to maybe white or red? is it a screen or some sort over the cluster, to change the color you see looking at the cluster?

It takes a 194 bulb i believe it is. Its the same as the marker lights in the fenders. On the inside of the cluster there is plastic domes that snap in place on the cluster then the clear bulb is inserted inside the dome thus creating the color you see now. If you remove the blue domes and replace with a 194 colored bulb it will light up in the color you put in. I think it takes like 7 or 8 bulbs total. they are hooked into the cluster with special twistie thingies, so if you lose one ur up the creek lookin in the yard for a new one. By just removeing the caps inside the cluster you will be supprized with the difference in brightness.

about how much did it all run you to do it yourself?
i reused all the bulbs that were already in there except for 2. One good hint on the headlight **** and windsheild wiper **** is to use a scre driver to push the tab in the **** and it should slide right off. If you need new bulbs or want a different color thats the only expense you should have. Also if you have a auto tranny then be careful with the shifter indicator.
