dash lights dim....
Help! dash lights have been dimming whenever idle is down with all lights on. When lights are off no dimming happens. Changed battery out; new alternator was put in Sept '03. Any thoughts?

1997 Expedition; rpm's are at normal range for idle....1000-2000. had problems with the p017 code coming up awhile back and this site helped me to fix that. (hole in the vacumn line) Idle was really low because it was struggling to run, noticed the dash lights dimming then, but thought it was because of the lo-rpm's. rev'd it up while idling at a stop light and lights on dash got brighter. headlights don't seem to be affected so far. just dash lights; radio lights; etc.

sorry, goofed on that one. It idle's in at 600-700. 1000 when first starting in the morning to warm up. I noticed this morning headlights do dim alittle bit when rev'ing the engine.
any thoughts?
