Copy and paste the link in the address bar. I'm awaiting for Cat-Man to chime in about his stacks. He was extremely happy with them a couple months ago.
I am realy suprised he hasn't said anything either, I am not Cat, but I have 5" also.
I will Never go back to anything smaller, there sidepipes, come out right infront of the wheels for right now, chrome stacks by next weekend, 5" again. The sound is just awesome, all whistle at idle, a REALLY deep bellow at WOT. quiet in the cab, good tone inside at WOT. hardly any flutter too, which is a huge plus. IT is dual 3" up to the pipes. 3" DP. I love it.
this summer i am going with the 5 in black cloud stack kit i and i can't waiti am gonan try to fit a 4in dp if it doesn't fit after alittle firewall modification then i will get a 3-4 in dp and then go fromt he 4 in dp to 5 no can and no muff to the stacks should be just alittle loud i thinkt he neighbors will like it when i get up at 5am for work in the summer and there windows are open hahahahahhaa
They come out infront of the rear tire. they are tucked up under the cab/box and do a 90* turn at the end.
They were basicaly a set of stacks, that werent chromed, so I made them into side pipes. I have a few pics on the digital camera, just can't get them on the computer. I will try later today to get a few pics of the trucks up, with the stacks and the side pipes for all to see. all you can realy see is where they come out from the back of the cab, and the turn at the end to the edge of the box. It projects all the smoke and noise straight out, 90* to the truck so driving throught town, ona bridge, or in traffic it just echos off everything. it crazy loud I say when we are all out driving around.
Its not to bad. There is definetly a build up on the side of the box right above the pipes, but its only a 3x3patch,and the truck is black so I prolly dont notice it as bad. the '96 is white and I wouldn't put them on that truck. the rear wheels always look like crap though. I dont know if its from all the gravel roads or the pipes, but there always dirty.
My buddy got stacks on his right after he bought it, and they made me jealous so I had have a set, his are 4" and being that I already had 5" on the truck i had to stay with 5", and the dirty wheels are starting to annoy me so it all added up to getting stacks.
I gotta run to wallymart so I can load some pics for ya so.... look back tonite I will try to get pics.
Superstroker. I finaly got some pics loaded. Here is the link to the pics of the truck, there are a few in there of the pipes. No stack pics yet, have to keep everyone waiting till there functional. and i am chipped.
l looks nice! If I can't use stacks because of the cowboy sleeper, I am going to run 3-4" dp into a 5" pipe then split it into duals, coming out at 45* angles in the back!
That should sound nice. keep the noise in the cab down too. The exhaust is just loud enough that when you lean into it you have to turn the radio off to hear the turbo whistle through the firewall. with the '96 you never hear the exhaust, just whistle. I am kind worried the stacks will make it louder, inside that is.
